I was just informed that I will be getting my letter. I was also told that if I contact the sheriff and agree to CONCEAL for soccer games that he will reinstate it. I don't see that happening. This is just like sheriffs sending out letters with LTCF telling people they HAVE to conceal. Any help is appreciated. I AM going to call him as soon as I officially receive the letter and ask him on what basis it is being revoked as I have not committed ANY violations that would condone this. Also, do they have to tell me who complained? Can I file a suit against the sheriff for illegally pulling my LTCF and incurring any attorney's fees for no reason?

ETA: My understanding from the conversation was that he will want me to agree to conceal "for the soccer crap" but I don't know..he might want me to conceal ALL THE TIME" BULLSHIT!

I guess these stupid asses don't realize that taking it FORCES me to OC?

No I am not going to threaten him. I just want to know exactly what my options are. I don't want to be thinking I CAN sue his ass if I have no grounds. IANAL you know... but this shit is RIDICULOUS. He has NO GROUNDS for this. I know it's at "his discretion" but then he needs that checked out because I didn't DO anything except OC at a soccer game and someone didn't like it.

For anyone that followed the 'other' thread you know that this is utter illegal BS.

We simply have two individuals making a personal issue out of SFN's 100% lawful and legitimate OC.
Now, in addition to demanding she not do it (without an authority to do so) one of them has apparently persuaded the sheriff to illegally revoke SFN's permit.

This will be dealt with swiftly and firmly. First thing's first though. We are gathering info, investigating legal counsel, etc. And a revocation is not a revocation until the letter arrives

Wait for your revocation letter - once you have it, obtain legal counsel, and file your petition for review - the local court will review the revocation de novo - which means the Sheriff has to justify what he did. This is not a lawsuit - it is an appeal of right provided in the Uniform Firearms Act. You will most likley prevail just as Greg Rotz did and the resulting press coverage will help ensure this does not happen again to anyone else.

All I am going to say at this time is that my letter is here. Arrived just now so it IS official. (for anyone who had doubts) I will allow Rich or Greg to post any details on my behalf as they see appropriate. I appreciate the supportive posts and PMs. I have come back to reread them many times over the last 24 hours as it has helped in ways you all can not imagine (unless you've maybe been through this yourself). So thanks pafoa! You're just awesome people.

Well, I have to say that I almost feel sorry for Sheriff Deleo.... Almost!

With as much as OC has made the news in eastern PA I find it impossible this is based on his ignorance. I do believe this will be a criminal matter (against the sheriff) before all is said and done.

First step is reversing the revocation, via appeal, which is obviously already in the works.
