Default Respect of what the LEO represents....

We all got our first job, did not know how things would work out ..... I think it is the same for new/Young LEO. We just need to be patient with them. Like any other jobs there are bad LEO's but the minority. Even in the case of facing a LEO who is not doing a great job, they still need our respect for what they represent. Fortunately, most of them are great people who put their lives on the line on a daily basis for our safety.

LOL, yep they certainly have law enforcement powers under the game law. With an attorney, you may get out of it, but they can and will tie you up for a while under the road hunting clause.

Under the Game laws they can stop you, search your car, take your weapon, and and with sufficient evidence impound your car.

(I personally have never had an issue with the PA GC. But have heard stories (true or not) that under the game laws they can fine, should you be pulled over.)

jeanfor,

By all means, they should be respected! Its not always an easy job either. I work almost daily with city, state police, and constables, and everyday with the public. Even as I investigate and interview people, pending their attitudes I inform them that I am doing my job. Lets face it if no one broke any laws there would be no need for police in any form.

Whoever their firearms instructor is, he's failing at his job.

Maybe you should drop the chief or mayor a letter. Or tell them to check out this forum!!!

It seems they think it is a joke that I know the law and have a crimes code book at home. They also find it amusing that I can have an educated conversation with them in regards to weapon and ammunition selection. "You spend too much time with this stuff." I just really don't care anymore.
