Totally agree.

I've OCed in the Barnes and Noble in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Lehigh County with no problem. That includes buying my fiancee some frilly coffee based beverage in the little cafe. None of the leftist yuppies ever passed out or wet themselves.

I think the OP did fine.

Fingers the same constitution that codifies your RIGHT to keep and bear arms also (albeit not as clearly) establishes property rights. If you want your rights respected you have to respect others, If they had asked me to disarm or leave I would have done so without creating a scene, turns out there was a 3rd way and that was concealment. Does it make a difference in any possible lethality my handgun would have had? No. I do want to sit down with the manager and discuss the situation with him, but I really don't consider it a big deal. Basically if customers point out something that makes them uncomfortable they have to deal with it otherwise that equals lost revenue (at least thats the corporate thinking).

I wish I could have continued to OC but I'm pretty happy with how it worked out. And for anyone who frequents bookstores in the Bucks/Montco. area they were VERY professional and I would recommend that you shop for books there, nice store and great selection.

Thank God for that bit of fabric!!!
They knew you were carrying, but it was ok if they didn't see it????????WTF!!!!!
I know, its a mystery to me too, but hey, if it makes them feel good more power to them. Then again, I know alot of people that won't use a MAC machine that doesn't have a built in hidden camera. If they can see the camera it bothers them and they won't use it, but as long as its hidden they're fine.

People are strange sometimes.

Out of sight, out of mind and all that. Kind of like children should be seen and not heard because everyone knows if they can't be heard they're obviously behaving.

FMCDH, I don’t want to speak for fingers but I don’t think he was giving you a hard time. I think he was just poking fun at my comment about the typical liberal left latte drinker clientele that frequents these establishments. Plus the fact that they were scared because they saw your gun. I don’t think he was questioning management or your decision to cover up.

Seems to me that both you and management handled the situation well.

I didn't take his comment that way at all. I just want to make sure people remember that if we want our rights respected we have to respect others as well. Its something I see that gets forgotten from time to time by those who claim to be standing up for their rights.

I appreciate all you guys chiming in on this thread...
