Default OC today Dormont Pa paid off

I had to go over to Western Pa to pick up some equipment and decided to travel down through PGH and into Finleyville to see my sister. Had to go throughh the Liberty tubes and down route 19 through Dormont. Needed gas, so I stopped at the sunoco on the top of the hill there. Half-way through giving up 135 bucks of the company's money, I see him. White guy, 23-28, 130 lbs, 5.11 or so,skin drawn tight over very small muscles, hollow eyes , deep set in their sockets, aimless shuffle to the gait. This is the guy who they were thinking of when they coined the term "skel". It is short for skeleton. He fit the bill. He shuffles toward me and the gas station/convenience store. He notices me and I watch him closely, but not obviously. I don't want to attract him. I have found that they are kind of like bees, you swat at them and they will be drawn to you.
He saw me watching him and angled toward me. DAMN! Here comes the confrontation. He gets to within 20 feet and I turn so he gets the full view of my weapon in it's leather holster on my right hip. He gets to within 10 feet and I have unsnapped the holster and my hand is fully on the weapon, safeties are off, the hammer is back. He follows my arm down and sees it. Instant reaction, he freezes. I spot the screwdriver in his hand. I instantly decide I don't need a full tank nearly as much as I need to have the gas nozzle pointed at this guy. I drew the gas nozzle out and aimed it at him, though I don't think he figured it out. It takes him a 3 count to get out the words: "Damn dude, you are strapped". "Yes, I am". "Are you a cop?" I answer "no" and just as quickly regret it. He moves in and I am forced to draw. I keep it pointed right at his feet, and he freezes, so I hold it at that aim-point. If he moves, I'll bring it up and give hime the first 4 rounds at the same time I will also coat him in gasoline. At any rate, he isn't going to be telling any lies to the cops. He backs up and turns and took off running. I left the area just as quickly. Damn, Pittsgurgh and all of it's little neighborhoods used to be really friendly. I guess drugs and weak willed liberal democrats have ruined more than one good city.

Cool story but I was waiting for you to ask him if he seriously brought a screwdriver to a gun fight.

If he were, wouldn't there be proper paragraph parsing?

Even so - I've been to the Sunoco he refers to. I live about 5 minutes away. I could imagine something like that happening there. Heck, the Eat 'n Park across the street had an attempted robbery a few weeks back...

Glad you made it out ok. That could have turned real serious real fast. Did you make a report with the local pd?

And they're well on their way to ruining the rest of the country.

Vote Obama '08!

Axi, by the description you gave of him, you could have knocked his ass into the middle of next week, gun or no gun!

Good job.

hahaha I was thinking the same thing.

The fact that he asked if you were a cop made me laugh. He must have thought that just because you weren't one, meant you were less likely to drop him like a fat kid drops a vegetable (bad pun). Good call and stay safe.

Mental note, if ever asked if I'm a cop, just say maybe, keep them wondering.

Glad it didn't get any worse then it did and that you where able to keep it from going any further. Scum like that need to be shown that people are not easy targets anymore and I'm pretty sure this guy will think twice before he approaches another person, well hopefully that is.

Q: Are you a cop?

A: That's not relevant to this situation.
