wish me luck, y'all.
Why do they have it so early?

Good luck

Warrior,

I'd be interested in knowing just how prompt was your 9.55 am meeting ?

I suspect an all day affair, with other ' important ' matters taking precedence ... but then I've just got a suspicious nature.

Good Luck

Normanvin,

Be my guess that the early appt. is in hopes he'll never make another appt. ... schedule it for early am and actually see him at the last minute in the pm ... just a guess ... but have seen it happen on more then one occasion.

Good Luck Guys

Isn't he back yet. Maybe he was arrested for being a PUBLIC NUISANCE and we better get together some bail money to get him out.

The meeting was pretty uneventful in general Jahwarrior stood up and spoke to the commissioners. He pointed out that the signs were in direct violation of the Uniform firearms act or code. He ended with a request for the commissioners to inform him of how they intend to correct the issue shortly. Then the DA spoke after him about how well the 911 operators and emergency personnel dealt with a recent murder case.

He did OC to and from the meeting but because they also hold courts in the same building they supplied him a locker for safe keeping of his firearm while in the building.

The commissioners had no real response to him speaking in general other then to appear to be shocked that they could be in violation of the laws of the commonwealth.

It was nice to finally meet one of the others from this site in person as this was my first opportunity to do so.

As far as it seemed he did not get arrested though when I left him he was getting in his van to go about his business.

Sounds like a convenient move by the government to prevent carry at meetings. Do we know for sure that all paths to the venue of meeting (if not the room the meeting itself is held in) are "court facility"?

You may be right convenient however when I asked a sheriff about the metal detectors he said they have them in every county building. I did not press the issue I was just curious and uninformed as I did not know it was considered a courthouse simply by holding a court session. I thought it was still considered the administration building.

Maybe they put courts in each of their county buildings here to call them off limits I am not sure.

I do remember reading that we were not allowed to carry in courthouses however I read also they will provide lockers for you if you do. I wonder if that has or could have any effect on renewal or revocation of carry license later on.

Technically you are carrying it till you secure it in a locker inside the courthouse.
