Hey TC, I can't believe I have never seen this thread before. I must have been in a black hole or something. Anyways...glad to see you out there in the big city OC'ing. We will have to get together some time. I used to live on the south side (S. Law, between 5th and 6th, off Emmaus Ave.) and my in-laws live on SW 28th street. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Nothing much new with winter, and coats..........except today, in Philly, after much moaning and groaning by my future MIL about how "they will call the cops and we'll all end up in jail, etc, etc, etc" we (me, Monica, her mom, dad, aunt and brother) walked into MW Tux on Cottman and the boulevard to pick out the tux's for our wedding and the girl didn't even blink as she measured me. I would guess she has had to slide a tape measure between a holster and a body before as she did it right the first time.

I'll jump in here a little too with some OC experiences in the Valley.

Red Robin - Center Valley Promenade - No issues
Rave Theatre - Center Valley Promenade - No issues
Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse - Airport Road, Allentown - No issues
LV Mall, Sears - no problems
Turkey Hill in Slatington - clerk looked concerned at first, realized I was not a threat and said nothing.

Just recently picked up a S&W M&P9 and a Kahr PM9 have not ventured out OC but always one of them on me even at home. Once the weather warms up I will have to give it a try.

Thumbs up Re: My OC journal

And to further Jerry's experiences in the LV area (Upper Macungie specifically), Ive been to the police chiefs office twice now OC - (Chier Weiser has had his entire department through training now - he knows its fine and knows several of the more active folks on the board too), and again last night at the township building for a neighborhood watch Captains / Advisors meeting... absolutely NO issues. In fact, once detective, 4 officers (two of whom I know quite well), Chief, and all three supervisors were there.

I got a couple looks from several of the other captains/advisors in attendance, but once they saw me chatting wiht the chief and others I dont believe anything was said - Chief Weiser will surely let me know if anything gets mentioned however. Im not too sure about PSP however... they are located next door to the UpperMac township building.

Matt and I were just talking about putting something together, and Robert and I have talked about it before. I've been meaning to for some time, but overtime at work and my impending doom, er, um, I mean wedding, always seems to slow me down. Maybe we'll see if we can get something going in late March/Early April.
