I'm rocking my first OC tomorrow with my little brother, his wife, & my fiance.
just have to decide what resteraunt were going too.......Mabey Texas Roadhouse, they make a mean steak, & them whiskey beans are to die for!!!
also the squirrel that lives near our home prefers their free peanuts over the price chopper ones we buy him.....practically got that outdoor critter trained,,we named him/her Squirelly and would u believe it answers to it!

anyways tomorrow im tucking.....wish me luck fellow OC'ers.

Stepped outside Steve's Transmissions in Meyerstown today while waiting on them to replace a wheel bearing. A parts delivery guy pulled up, and went in. I saw him look at my gun and smile but he didn't say anything. When he came out he asked if I was a cop or just open carried. I told him I just open carry. He told me he has an LTCF but doesn't OC much. We had a nice brief conversation, but he had to go. I asked if he was member here, and he was not. My fliers were in the vehicle up on the lift so I just told him about the site.

Wednesday night we decided to try Just Wing It in down town Lebanon for dinner. While waiting for our order the brother that does deliveries came back and they got into a discussion about bad parts of town, robberies, safety and wishing they could carry. I jumped in and explained LTCF's, carry laws, and use of force as best I could. We also talked a little about guns in general. I wrote down the URL to PAFOA for them.

I also pulled back my coat and showed them my G23 (Gasp! OMG, I 'brandished' my weapon! Right in front of a cash register! The horror! ). It never left the holster, I just pulled back my coat so they could see it.

Anyway they are totally cool with guns in general and in their shop so if you're in Lebanon go get some wings. Oh, the wings were amazing, and they have tons of flavors. If I'm not careful I could develop a bad habit there.

Saw the mythical unicorn twice yesterday. A friend of ours asked my wife and I to tag along to Cabelas. She (our friend) wanted to pick a bunch of ammo, some camping gear, and S&W Bodyguard .380 that they had on sale. We were there about 4 or 5 hours because the ladies had to look at everything.

As our friend was paying for her stuff I saw two guys walk into the gun section both open carrying. I ran over and said "Excuse me, I just wanted to say Hi. It's rare to see another open carrier." or something to that effect. I would have loved to have talked to them more but I had to get back to the ladies

Didn't occur to me until later that for a second they probably thought they were going to have a negative encounter

ETA: My wife said they looked fmailiar so we maybe we had met them at an event before. But I'm terrible with names and worse with faces

Of all places, I never expected it there, with the children and everything

Seriously though, I think that was the first time I've seen another OCer in public outside of an event of some kind or a planned meeting. I could be wrong, as I have advanced CRS (Can't Remember Shit) disorder, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone else OC even in Cabelas on just a regular visit.

I guess I'll have to reread this thread to find out if this was my first sighting or not
