Does OC @ your house count? lol. I'm not really going anywhere tomorrow. Maybe I'll go out for the paper but it's normally a grillin/spend time with the family day.

If you've made the decision to OC today based solely upon the fact that there is an announcement that "today is National Open Carry Day", you have made the wrong decision.

OC'd to church this morning for a men's breakfast meeting. Most of the men there know I carry, and most of them know I OC. But we had a new guy, who used to work on an armored car and shoot competitively, so that gave us a common area of interest. This is the third or fourth OC at this meeting for me. I got to talk about OC and National OC Day today, but more importantly the Pastor reminded me that it had been a while since we had been shooting together, and that we needed to go. Also, there is one man in the group who wants my advice on buying a handgun and so the three of us are going to the range in the near future so he can try a few out.

I'll be in private residences most of the day, but OC is a regular thing for me anyway. I don't think I will be doing much in the way of shopping, since we don't like supporting stores open on holidays if we can avoid it.

Yep. Its actually not a bad solution for those who wish to support the holiday through their second amendment, but arent prepared/willing/able to deal with all the responsibility that comes with OCing out in public.

I agree with some of the sentiments here over fears of undereducated unprepared 'newbies' jumping headlong into OC cause its the hot topic of firearms forums right now. OC is something we need to use to indirectly make people aware of the rights they have in our state, but if someone cannot deliver that education during an encounter in a polite and professional manner, it runs a bigger risk of damaging our cause.

Anyway, Ill be OCing all weekend, just like I do any given day. Maybe Ill pick up a stars n stripes hanky to tuck in behind my holster.
