Depending on your training (if applicable), that is acceptable. For instance, I was trained (USMC) to refer to a "gun" as either a weapon, rifle, or pistol. Firearm (oddly enough...) was never mentioned. The only acceptable use of "gun" would be referring to a shotgun.

He obviously doesn't carry insurance on his home or car either since he doesn't grasp the concept. Good job on there today, Rich.

It's either another Battle of Athens or people filing Private Criminal Complaints. The latter would be preferable.

Lol. A little. I was hoping you'd pull out the American Revolution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, etc., and tell him just what an American is.

"England, since the conquest, hath known some few good monarchs, but groaned beneath a much larger number of bad ones, yet no man in his senses can say that their claim under William the Conqueror is a very honorable one. A French bastard landing with an armed banditti, and establishing himself king of England against the consent of the natives, is in plain terms a very paltry rascally original. It certainly hath no divinity in it. However, it is needless to spend much time in exposing the folly of hereditary right, if there are any so weak as to believe it, let them promiscuously worship the ass and lion, and welcome. I shall neither copy their humility, nor disturb their devotion."

I recorded the interview - still recording.

I should say "attemting" to record. I hope it comes out good.

I will post (transcribe) the WBPD reply that Sue read on air when I reply the audio.

I'd be open to either course of action - so long as there is action.

btw, nice to see someone else knows of the Battle of Athens.

when carried for the purposes of self-defense, it is a weapon.

i don't think we should be afraid of that term...i think we should embrace it. the crux of the matter is that people need to be allowed to carry weapons to defend themselves against attackers who use weapons. and those who choose not to carry (and be proficient with the use of) weapons are leaving themselves at the mercy of bad guys who do carry weapons.

playing into the sheeple's fantasy that there is no need to carry a weapon for self-defense is not a good idea, imho. it allows them to continue the BS that people only carry "firearms" to make them feel more manly or compensate for something or whatever. this is an easier idea to legislate against than is self-defense against weapon-weilding bad guys.

i carry a weapon (actually a couple of weapons since my glock is not the only weapon i carry) in case i need to defend myself with a weapon. everyone should do that...the reality is that we live in a world where violence can happen to anyone at any time. we need to get the sheeple to accept and understand that.

i do not carry a firearm in case i happen to see a paper target or steel popper as i am walking down the street.

just my 2 cents.

can't wait to read the transcription of the WBPD's response.

LOL

I hadn't read that entire thread. ..only first few pages and last few pages.

You'd be shocked as to the number of people that don't know of the BoA. My bro and I were taught it in our kindergarten years at home - standard home learnings for our entire family.

That's true and thanks for the insight on this.
