good point about the Nazi references, I think a lot of people on this site need to learn about Godwins Law. In short, according to the law of reducto ad hitlerum the minute you start making Nazi analogies you've pretty much lost the debate. Thread Over. No matter how appropriate the reference you are going to lose people because it's such a semantically charged topic.

Godwin's Law does, however, grant that it does not apply in discussions directly relating to mainstays of the regime. I think that Police who can do as they please fit into this category.
