I agree with Larry....I even was joking with a few of the cops...some seemed ok and weren't fully involved. It was the ones that were up in my shit and that took Rich out that I had the problem with.

And I want to say that even though I am disgusted with the actions of those officers, I do know that they are only a sampling and there are plenty of good cops that take their job seriously and don't abuse it. We seem to even have some of them on our site here and I want to apologize to them if any of the comments I made earlier were taken as general bashing of the police. Such was not my intention, and I am sorry if it came off that way.

The only ones I see being even remotely "bashed" are the ones that took a big shit on our rights.

I locked the thread yesterday. I was waiting for a better press release to come out. The way the thread was running was discussing the overall poor quality of the press release.

A fellow moderator deleted it this morning. The rules for the Activism forum on THR allow for little latitude. The Press Release called for folks to, "get ready to turnout . . . probably . . . sometime". It didn't specific when. It wasn't really appropriate for the Activism forum.

As I have said, there needs to be a better Press Release, one that this board and Pa Patriot can rally behind as a sanctioned released. And it needs to happen soon. This one was lacking in many ways.

I wasn't there, but it seems to me that if three or four out of eight officers are engaging in illegal activity and trampling on citizens rights, right in front of the rest of the responding officers, and these other officers let it go on, they are as guilty as the rest. I don't recall in all of the posts here about the actual events, any officers stepping in and saying," Hey, stop that!", to any of the other officers. It seems like a case of, we're cops and your not, so anything done wrong will get sorted out later. Chatting amicably with you guys, while standing idly by and watching their fellow officers roust you, does not make them less culpable, IMO.

DC so am I pissed I've been composing a letter to the Dickson City chief all day about being harassed and treated like a criminal and the more I write the madder I get. The older officer who was there don't know where he was from but when I was talking to Mariano he wanted to give me a rashin but the Blaksly officer got me away from him and walked me over to the wall to talk to me and the conversion was about hunting and where he use to live the only thing he said about the whole thin was you guys could have covered up. And then he wanted to leave.
