If you believe your right to free speech is guaranteed by the constitution and you practice it by participating, many times aggressively at city council meetings, then you cannot disavow others for practicing their right to keep and bear arms. They were apparently within the law, or I'm sure they wouldn't have attempted it. They were with their families, and were practicing freedom of association, freedom of movement, the right to bear arms, peaceful assembly, among many other things, like the right to enter a public restaurant, which the restaurant had no problem with.

Freedom, as has been acknowledged before, is not always pretty, nor nice and neat, nor conforming.

Practice your free speech by opining that you didn't think they should have done what they did, but back up on castigating them for exercising American freedoms and rights.

I find it a bit amusing that the Chief of Police uses Hotmail for his email.

Perhaps it was just a crash of their server. I still say good work to the community as a whole. I bet their site has never been hammered this hard ever.

On a side note:: I sent off an email to Mr. Tom Gresham of GunTalk.com fame. I gave him the link to Pa. Patriot's "arrested" post in this thread. I hope that he will help spread the word and possibly even give Rich an interview at some later date.

Yes, this can get a bit touchy. If the employer is the municipality, where does the money come from that goes into the LEO paycheck? Please correct me if I am wrong. I was under the impression that taxes pay for all municipal services (Fire, Police, Road Maintenance, etc.).

I couldn't agree more. I surely hope that one of the outcomes of this situation, is a revised training scope for law enforcement in PA. Maybe you should volunteer to spearhead the educational scope change? Sounds like you have the requisite credentials already.

Unbelievable, I don't read the forum for a weekend and all hell breaks loose. I just spend the last two hours catching up. Patriot you have my admiration and appreciation for what you are taking on. If I can be of any help, let me know. If there is a defense fund formed I will contribute. I guess I need to get an open carry holster for my Model 27 Glock for any future functions that I can attend. Any suggestions anyone.
