So I just read up on this thread. Hot damn. Don't know where to start. So much has been said I agree with.
To PA Patriot and Mrs. Patriot. thank you for being the strong people you are. Your kids should count themselves among the lucky.
To all others who were at the OC dinner thank you for conducting your self's in such a respectful manner.
I am proud to be a member of this forum and right now I am missing the hell out of good ol'PA.....

Wow, I wasn't online all weekend until last night. It took me over 2 hours to read all these posts and I still can't believe this happened. I'll be very interested in reading the entire story once it comes out. If anyone missed the links posted by gunlawyer on the last page I encourage you to read them.

It seems that the Dickson City police dept. now has a $25,000 deductible due to 9 lawsuits that they settled over the course of 13 months! Why wouldn't the council members do something about the P.D. after it cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few months???

As everyone else has stated, I am not a wealthy man but will gladly donate what I can to help fund this fight. I'm sorry it had to happen but maybe it will be for the greater good and open some eyes across this state.

Some observations, not necessarily in sequence:

According to the PAFOA Members List, there are seven thousand three hundred twenty (7,320) of us. That's a lot of people to piss off. Woe unto Dickson City Borough and its police force.

According to previous posts, the Dickson City Borough government, and its agencies, seems to be sued a lot. I'm a Borough Council President, and we complain about my borough's insurance rates, but Dickson City Borough's liability insurance starts off with the borough being totally responsible for the first $25,000 - sheesh!

Nice letter to the Police Chief. It basically tells him he's screwed, and if he wants any sympathy he should look it up in the dictionary - it's in there somewhere between shit and syphillis.

The borough's web site crashed? Gee, I wonder why.

Tuesday night's Borough Council meeting ought to prove interesting (a wonderful word unto itself). A detailed report, started on a separate subject, would be appreciated (yeah, as if it's necessary to ask).

And to think, a news crew from WBRE-TV could have been there at the beginning....
