Woman charged in fork attack

CHESTER TOWNSHIP - A township woman allegedly punctured her boyfriend's lung with a meat fork during a domestic dispute early Saturday.
Karen Denise Miller, 36, of the 1500 block of Rainer Road, is behind bars charged in the attack that occurred around 12:06 a.m. Saturday at her home.
Police were dispatched for a reported assault. Miller, who was in the living room, told Officer Gary S. Dent she and her boyfriend were arguing and he had punched her in the face and given her a fat lip, according to the affidavit of probable cause. Miller said she responded by stabbing her boyfriend with a meat fork, the affidavit states.
The officers found the victim in an upstairs hallway being treated by paramedics. He was bleeding from the right side of his face and his right upper chest, the affidavit states.
The victim was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center where he was treated for a punctured lung.
Miller was taken into custody and charged with aggravated and simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime and disorderly conduct.
She was remanded to Delaware County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $50,000 bail.

No surprises here. The defendants have filed for an extension. Standard legal stuff, and it's not being opposed by plaintiff's counsel. Check back after August 4. Defendants are being represented by Louis J. Isaacsohn.

My best guess would be what (according to Wikipedia) is called a “carving fork”. A pictorial example would be the right-most fork this Wikipedia image. That is about the only fork I can think of that could easily puncture a lung… well, other than a pitchfork.
