This OCOCB dinner shall be enjoyed in as safe a manner as possible.

Hell, grab a simple OWB Uncle Mikes if you have to.

OC/CC if you like - but PLEASE HC (holster carry) either way.

I wouldn't even be comfortable if a 'clipdraw' device were used.

Basically, I don't have a LTCF yet (I have an appointment to see the sheriff next Friday morning) and so I probably won't have one by the time May 9th rolls around. My question was about the legality of me transporting my 9mm in my trunk to get to this event.

Going to the dinner does not meet any of the exemptions (requiring unloaded vehicle carry) under SS6106. So no.
However, carry not required for dinner ... We'll cover you

Let me clarify. You could open carry there. But that's not the issue. The issue is that you would be in violation of ss6106 by transporting your firearm (without an LTCF) in a vehicle to the dinner.
