I can't see where a group of people OCing, eating dinner with there families would cause a panic more than a lone individual OCing. If anything, you'd think there would be more comcern with the lone individual. When was the last time anyone heard of mass murderers bringing their kids and all of their buddies with them?

I just OC'd all day today: Best Buy, Circuit City, Home Cheapo, Toys R Us, Sports Authority, Wal-Mart & 7-11.

No incidents to report.

However, if there were a whole herd with me doing the same thing, why...

1 or 100 makes no difference. I don't see police detaining and searching groups of people exercising their 1 amendment rights while handing out pamphlets on the street (and physically barring entrance to the clinic even though thats illegal).

A right is a right and we're all free to exercise them, whether its the 1, 2, 5, or whatever amendment rights.

Why? Because people were also exercising their right to public assembly along with their right to keep and bear arms. And, they were exercising their right to free speech for that matter. I have seen a number of posts on other boards saying:

"These people had this thing planned! They planned for months to go there! That proves their intent to cause a scene with the Law."

No, actually, it shows their intent to get together, and the need to plan an event, just like we plan birthday parties, holiday gatherings, picnics, etc. I am in the middle of planning a large picnic that we host every year for people of like mind in another area of endeavor. We plan it for months, as do others, so that we can all fit it into our schedules. It is no more sinister than that.

There were no problems until someone called the Law, and the Law decided to break the law - repeatedly. I find it interesting, but sad, in an academic way, that the most violent people seem to be the ones who shout the loudest about their peaceable intent, just like the gun haters who called the cops that night. They were more interested in making trouble than anything else, and they got a huge amount of cooperation from the Dickson City police. But whether it is one person of 1000, if they are engaged in legal activity, it is legal. Period.

Quick question Pontiac... How long after "groups" of people OC-ing are outlawed do you thing ONE person open carrying will be outlawed?

Dang, sometimes these posts show no common sense nor thought pattern whatsoever.

Do not you realize that YOUR rights were being trampled on as well Pontiac?

One of my best friends is as much a gun advocate as I am. Do you propose to suggest that only ONE of us carries when we are together?

Truly, stupidity & ignorance reign supreme.

Next it will be OK for me to ride my Harley, but only if I am not riding with any of my friends who are riding their Harleys.
