Default OMG! Co-Worker Just Informed Me That PA Open Carry is Illegal!

How could this happen? I have tried diligently to keep everyone around me informed on the true rights of PA gun owners but today, right out of the blue...a co-worker tells me that his Dad (who is a kitchen table FFL) told him that you cannot under any circumstances carry a handgun exposed in PA!! I was like..."WHAT?" Still slightly stunned, I told him that you are allowed to open carry in PA and you wouldn't believe how fast I whipped out one of PA Patriot's brochures!! I even emailed the .pdf link to him so he can forward it to his Dad for some much needed education!

I read on here daily that people don't think open carry is allowed in PA but it never really hit me this close! We have a lot of work to do people!!

Ask him (in a hushed whisper) if he would be willing to transfer one of those "illegal" "masheen gunz" that you found being sold "illegally" online...

(Make sure he knows that HP ammo is "illegal" too.)

I gotta say that when I moved to Pa I found out just how much different it was here than in MD. I owned a few sporting arms from when I was lad, and when we moved here I wanted buy a handgun. I went into the sporting goods store in palmyra and was shocked absolutley shocked when I picked one out and played with it in the store and decided to purchase, I asked the man behind the counter " So how long is Pa' cooling off period"? He says " WTF is a cooling off period". Blew me away that I could pay and leave with it on my hip all in the same 5min period. So I asked him about the Ak's on the shelf and said how long does it take to get approved for one of those. His answer was comical, " depends" Depends on what I ask, " depends on how long it takes for your credit card to swipe thru the machine". So I left with a ruger 9mm and an AK the same day, would have never happened in MD. Man I like it here.
