Posting this so you all know the situation.
I would ask that we PLEASE wait for a response from the main office before any other action is taken. I want to get Corporates Official Policy in writing.
Below is the email I sent just a few minutes ago. Feel free to disect how I handled the situation if you must but be forwarned-I am not posting this to get into a pi$$ing match.
I will obviously update this as I hear back from them.

Dear Madam or Sir:
I am a frequent customer in your State College PA. location. Something very unfortunate happened this evening.
A dear friend is back in the area from Florida and I suggested that she meet my wife, my 2 year old daughter and me at your State College Store. Unbeknownst to us our friend arrived before we did and got a table and a drink. When we arrived, we came inside to look for her but did not immediately see her. We went back outside to wait after telling the staff at the front that we were waiting for a friend. Our friend sent us a text telling us that she was inside so we made our way back in and found her near the rear of the store.
After getting a high chair for our daughter, taking our drink order, delivering our drinks, and returning twice (because we were not ready to order) to take our food order our server left us to enjoy an evening of catching up with an old friend. I am stressing this time line to give you an idea of how long we were in the store. I suspect from the first time we entered the store until the following occurred, we were there at least 15 minutes.
Next, an employee (I believe a Shift Manager) approached our table and asked to speak to me. I said sure and waited for him to proceed. He indicated that he wanted to speak to me privately away from our table and presumably away from other customers. I left the table and followed him to an area near the "Outhouses". Waiting there was another gentleman who I am under the impression was Dave Veeder, the Managing Partner (as per his card which I asked our server for later). He did introduce himself I believe but I have forgotten his name.
He informed me that he wanted me to take my legally open carried firearm out to my car. His reason was that it was making "some of the employees uncomfortable". There was no mention of "US" doing anything that might make anyone fear for their safety.
He admitted that he did not have any signs posted saying that firearms were not permitted on the property, but made it quite clear that we would be asked to leave if I did not comply. He did not say this but it was the distinct impression he gave me.
I asked him if he realized that my legally carried firearm was much safer in its holster at my side than in an un-attended vehicle in his parking lot. He did not care.
I returned to my table and told my dinner guest and my wife what had just transpired. We discussed walking out but I did not want to be another cause of a ruined evening for our friend. I proceeded to put my legally carried firearm into my car and covered it up to the best of my ability.
Fortunately for me, innocent bystanders and the owners of the business, my firearm was not stolen where it could have been used to commit a crime.
Unfortunately I am afraid I let my worsening mood affect our dinner after all.
Now for the back story. All 3 of the adults at that table were legal gun owners and had our LTCF's (License To Carry Firearms). I was Open Carrying my firearm this evening which I do on a daily basis. As a side note an LTCF is not needed to open carry in most instances in Pennsylvania. I have eaten many times in your State College Store and never once had this problem.
As Mr. Veeder mentioned there are no signs stating that this location is a Gun Free Zone. I do however respect a businesses private property rights so I complied with his wishes.
Can you please forward me your "Official Corporate Policy" regarding the legal carrying of firearms on your properties.
I await your reply.
Sincerely:
