Is Perkins OC friendly?

What about putting it under the "Events" section of the site so it will send reminders to all?

Do you have separate wives for NY and PA?

Penalty for bigamy?

TWO WIVES!!!

Mrs. Plinker gave me a definite no this evening. I told her a bunch of other wives were coming, but she reminded me that our youngest Plinkette would be home alone for the evening, and while she is old enough for that, we don't like leaving her to fend for herself. Of course, I could always offer to bring her along too...

Are children of 15 years welcome? Please feel free to say no if anyone is concerned, but it might be a good addition. She can't carry, but she is a pretty good shot.

Don't worry about squeemish wives cuz Mine is one of 'em. She's not too fond of being plopped into a totally new situation with folks she's never met before...but she wants to participate here. Hats off to Tania in Pennsylvania (and that's her actual 'online' name!)

As for the 'under agers'.....that oughtta be a vote. I dunno if our adult-like converstaion might be respectfully stilfed in the prescenece of youngin's. Though I have 4 kids myself....and they are familiar with guns and respect them.......I dunno if kids will create a hurdle for us adults with the first time we're meeting each other.
PAFOA is a democracy though.....so chime in. are under agers (under 18yrs permitted?)

Well in the interest of getting everyone together including wives and girlfriends I will vote that its no problem having children and I can bring our 15 year old son if it will make PA Pat's wife more comfortable. As I see it shooting is a family sport so I have no problem including children if it helps add some comfort so that everyone feels welcomed. If this will break the ice then who know maybe there can be an adult dinner after everyone has met and relaxed with each other.

Anyway that is my vote and just let me know if bring my boy will make Mrs. Pa Pat more likely to come out an join in the social event.

I too have no problem with the kiddies coming.
Actually, that is Mrs. Pa. Patriots issue. I don't think she has any problem with being comfortable with a group outing, it's just that we have a 5 and 3 year old that we may not have babysitting available for

A couple more questions here. Are we all meeting outside, just inside the doors, or what? Also, do I need to make a name tag that says, Hello, My name is Pennsyplinker? Or, will we worry about that when the time comes? I tend to stand out in a crowd, OC or not. In fact, I can be a crowd all by myself! I will be the very large individual wearing a fashionable Serpa holster with a Springfield XD45 in it. And of course, I have no problem revealing my secret identity once we all arrive.

A big chunk of family departed for their own home today, so things are starting to settle down around here. When Mrs. Plinker has had a few days to get back to her regular routine, I will discuss her attendance with our daughter and report back to the group.

I don't see why we can't meet inside.

Couple ideas:

We can give the host/hostess our group name "PAFOA".

We can also exchange cell #'s through PM...

I'll let Perkins know ahead of time. We'll just reserve a section as PAFOA....and that's all they need to know.

I'll try and be early (15-30mins or so ahead of designated meet time) and welcome everyone as they show.

I've never done a "forum meet & greet" with any of my on-line hobby buddies, but I am a Past President of a the Tobyhanna Army Depot's Toastmasters International club so I have no problems with the public speaking thing. Our evening is ours...and informal. But maybe if act as a sort of 'host' so that we can do a 'round-the-table ice breaker ditty, we'll all get off on the right foot and get to know each other.

It sounds like some of y'all have met before though.
