I know that this is being called the "NEPA Open Carry Dinner" but are the SE folks welcome as well?

Pittston is 112 miles from my home in Delaware County. I sure wouldn't mind a little drive to have dinner and visit a nice gun shop. Would anyone else from Delaware County or Philadelphia be interested in car pooling? I wouldn't actually mind driving but wouldn't mind some company.

If I am not in NJ and complete noobs are welcome I may be able to attend. Be forewarned though I am a noob to all carry and not to sure about open carry for myself although can you use one of drop leg holsters? If so it may be the most comfortable way for me because I am a very fat guy. Not exaggerating at all 5'10" pushing 375 ish and its a long car accident and partial laziness story. Anyone else a "BIG" guy like me or close and have any holster suggestions?

Hey Shermdo - Absolutely....Come on up! And bring some SE buddies too!

I'll try to edit the thread title to remove the 'NEPA'.

awdv6turbo - Yeah...make it if you can!

Steve in PA - Too bad about the shift work....and too bad the Perkins isn't your territory (You're LEO IIRC???)

I'm a big guy too, 6' 2" and 410 lbs. I'll be there sporting my Springfield XD45 in a Serpa CQC holster. For concealed carry, I have a number of different options I use, from DeSantis Nemesis pocket holsters for smaller guns to some DeSantis and Galco IWB holsters for larger pieces.

I'll second the SERPA recommendation.
Lot's of adjustment and it holds the gun just a bit further from your body than a leather pancake or other type holster.
Provided they make one for your gun...
Best bet is to check holsters out at a gun shop. Try 'em on
