Went to Home Depot in Bridgeville after a short visit with my grandma for some paint today (Finally primed the first room, starting painting tomorrow! Coming along slowly but surely.) open carrying as always. My fiancee and I wandered around and slowly but surely that "two gallons of paint" turned into "half a cart of stuff we needed" and we finally decided to get the hell out before the whole store got shoved in the back of the car.
As we're leaving, it starts to rain, so I go grab the car and bring it to the door to load up in somewhat-shelter. I get out and there's an employee standing there chatting with my fiancee. Apparently according to her there was a huge to-do going on with some of the employees/managers about me being armed in the store, and she decided to just walk outside (I forget what the reason was, but her whole demeanor was a constant "My coworkers are annoying me over this and I'd rather be out here so I came up with an excuse involving you") and told us how she used to work in Butler so she saw DEA agents all the time and figured I was probably just a cop and didn't really care either way since I was obviously no threat. Along the way she asks "So why ARE you carrying, anyhow?" My answer was a simple "I live in the real world." and she accepted it and moved on. Also, she assisted us in loading! I wish I had gotten her name, I would have absolutely written a positive note for/about her in their feedback online. Then I got home and brought some of the stuff down to the basement, found a leak between two cinder blocks, went to go get the hydraulic cement and WHAM! took a horizontal cement support for the porch to the top of my head when I didn't bend low enough. And promptly threw the plastic pan I was going to mix the cement in at it and swore loudly enough to get the dog to come running from upstairs. I should have stayed and shopped a little longer.

Sounds like you had a decent enough day, until you hit your head. Are you okay?

Eh, bit of a cut (Hit RIGHT on the corner) and it hurts to poke at it, but no major injury I don't think.

That's just one of many times I've hit my head there, usually I just tap it. It's hard being 6'3" and having a new basement
![]() Then again, I could hit my head and really do damage, and nobody would be any wiser. ![]() As for going back, I rarely go to that HD, but if I do I definitely will have some nice words for her. |

It's funny how dogs come running when you yell. When I'm alone, sometimes I yell at myself if I do something stupid. She comes and finds me. I guess that's a good thing.

My red heeler started barking at me when I was moaning yesterday from lower back pain.
