Today we were trying to hit a golf ball from 15 yards and down, he clipped it once at close range and I had bullet air moving it twice at the 10-15 yard line, and couldn't hit squat closer LOL. XD9 sub.

I think the trick to the 200 yard is to aim high LOL, but how high?
I did some of the 200yard shooting at the recent group shoot. I didn't hit well at all. At 100y, I could smack the watermelon sized rock pretty consistently....but at 200...I had some trouble keeping them on 2 of the "100y precision rifle" targets.

Those white targets on the far right hand side of the picture are a cluster of 4 of those targets, as seen at 200yards.

That stuff aint easy....

Surprisingly, you don't have to aim that . I was surprised at least.

Has anyone studied Elmer Keith's long range shooting? Since it is not on Youtube , it could not have happened.

Am I the only one who feels this is not how responsible shooters act. A 50rd mag and only 1 shot on paper? Where did all those other rds go? Are you sure yoiu know where they went? Sounds foolish and irresponsible to me.

In the other thread I posted the surroundings. A big dirt backstop. The daycare center was a good 10 feet away from the target so we were fine. On the other side there was a lost puppy clinic, where the local elementary school was having a field trip.

So, it's been a while. Has anybody actually gone out and tried this yet. Or is it too hot?

Too hot LOL. Plus again I only have 100 yards to use here at home, but that is a start. Be nice to have a spotting scope too LOL.

Synergy and I both made hits on precision rifle targets at the last group shoot. They weren't great but they were hits. I think we took about 10-15 shots and each landed a couple rounds. The targets we were using are smaller than the ones you posted so we should get extra credit. Like I said it would be a stretch to call them "groups" but they were hits none the less. At 100yds we and several others were doing it with little trouble once we settled into a groove on a much smaller targets...

Yup, post #21 shows the targets we were lobbing rounds at.
