Default UZI SBR

So I want to get a uzi 9mm in SBR... But Being an instant gratification person, I was thinking of buying a 9mm full-size uzi pistol from vector, then try to make sense of the paperwork (please help!) for SBR, and then buy the folding stock for 50 dollars AFTER the paperwork comes back.

Can I do this?!?

Default Re: UZI SBR

Yes you can do that.

What are you having issues with on the paper work?
Any specific areas?

Quick and dirty proccess:
1. Fill out Form 1 (2 copies)
http://www.atf.gov/forms/pdfs/f53201.pdf

2. Fill out Cert of Comp
http://www.atf.gov/forms/pdfs/f533020.pdf

3. Get passport photos, finger prints and CLEO signature
3a. or if you have/want a Trust or LLC, send in your info instead of photos, finger prints and CLEO sigs.
people use these methods mainly if they run into a CLEO that wont sign off on NFA items.

4. Get reciever engraved at local trophy shop, jewler(2 cheapest of the options). "Firstname Lastname, City, State"
or send away to an NFA envgraver like
Orion Armshttp://www.orion-arms.com/
NFA Investments. Keith is a great guy and super fast http://www.nfainvestments.com/index.htm

Engraving can be done while you are waiting for your forms to get apprv.

Make sure all you info is correct, make a $200 check to BATFE, and mail it.
.......and then wait

also, check the "stickys" at the top of the NFA/Class3 page for the SBR.
the principle is the same, no matter what weapon.

Nate

You can but if it were me I would buy the SBR from vector (they have them in stock, I just had one sent to me last week), and do it that way. If I am going to pay the 1,000$ for the gun I would not like to have other markings on it. Either way you will have to wait for the paperwork to come back.
