I am guessing that you are hearing the sonic crack, try some winchester dynapoints or some other target (sub sonic) ammo and try it again.

Use sub-sonic ammo.
What are you using as a host? If you have the can on a rifle, you'll have trouble keeping any round sub-sonic. The longer the barrel, the faster the bullet will go before leaving the barrel.

LOL. Send it back on a Monday, you'll have it back by Friday. Don't bother trying anything different until you do so and then let us know what you think.
I bet your results will be different.

You must use subsonic or it will be loud. My buddy has a Mosquito with an AAC. It's very quiet.
I shoot .22 suppressed. When I do not shoot subsonic it is loud. It makes all the difference in the world. |

buy a specter and you would not have had this problem. do buy SS ammo and it will sound better

You probably do not need SS ammo with the mosquito. The prodigy sucked so bad on pistols they re-did the core and it is supposed to be a huge improvement. Contact AAC for the replacement core, from what I hear you will be happy. Check out the silencertalk forum, the whole prodigy drama is well documented there.
