tried the ss ammo today, it also sucked balls. remington subsonic-1050 fps@muzzle. where remington standard vel is 1150 fps @ muzzle. i couldn't tell a difference. granite 100 fps is not a huge difference. very disappointed in aac. gotta give it to them, they are great at marketing. i have been had!

Take a flash light and look inside the supressor, see if there are any baffles or chambers inside. A class III dealer told me that over the years he had a few AAC can sent out with out baffles.

One question that has not been asked.

Have you ever heard a suppressor shot before shooting your own?

It may have alot to do with the host weapon. I picked up a Tac Inv Quest for a good price. I shoot it stricktly on my GSG-5PK and it sounds really nice and quiet to me. Hand the gun off to a buddy, and its even more quiet. I put on my Buckmark and its loud. Sub-sonic, standard vel, high vel. doesn't matter. Im guessing its the can/weapon combo, but i got it for the "full-auto rated" contruction for the mag dumps thru the GSG and future M16/22LR.

Try a different host if you can.

How do you figure you've been had? Most of the NFA boards, and especially SilencerTalk address the prodigy baffle issue. Did you not do your research before you bought? AAC will replace it and have it back to you ASAP, have you even talked to their customer service folks?

I own a Gemtech Outback in .22LR. When I finally got the paperwork back I was excited too. Went to the range and, while it was quiet, the POI was off my more than a foot at 25 yrds. I called them, sent it back, they did some sort of voodoo black magic and sent it back (never did get a reason) and it's perfect now.

I have a few AAC products and they are nothing but awesomness for me.

ETA: - Remington .22 ammo sucks. at least it has for me. I tend to use the CCI subsonic and RWS. The RWS is better than the CCI stuff, but it's also twice the price.

pretty fucking condescending are you? this is what i really dislike about this forum stuff, " did you even do this- did you even do that!" way to kick a guy in the balls when he is down. look here, i came here for advise and some opinion. not fucking criticism. while the first part of your post was shitty, your second was very informative thanks. i have sent it back and your correct, the customer service at aac is great. it should be here early next week.

Settle down, sparky. Maybe this internet stuff is too much for you. (BTW, that was condescending )

I understand wanting to vent, but seriously... In the first few posts you received some advice - specifically to contact AAC and get the new core.

I simply asked how it is that you had been had. Everything you have experience was a known issue with a known solution.

In any case, I know you'll be happy with the can once you get it back. Best of luck....

Sorry but I have to ask, have you heard a 22rf suppressor in person before?

Most all (Std & Hi Velocity) ammo will sound the same in a pistol (or any short barrel) since they are already subsonic.
