Both times I've called since the initial pending call, I get the guy that sounds like he was in the military. He's says" it shows pending do you have another one to check", I say no and he hangs up and doesn't give a chance to ask any questions. I didn't want to be pushy in asking for more info but I'll have to ask. Thanks for the advice, I've tried calling my dealer 3 times now to ask questions like this but he hasn't returned any of my calls yet.

I always bring spare fingerprint cards. They can get smudged up very easily. May I suggest the nearest State Police Barracks? I'm not sure, but you may be able to get a First Class set done there.

Hmm... we're on the same timeline. My Form 4 was approved back at the end of last month by Nancy Flannigan. I am still waiting on my Form 1 from S. Santamaria (pending since 7/30). Who, if you believe all the timelines, is one of the faster examiners -reports indicate that others who submitted later have already gotten their approvals. I have only called twice, both times I got a very friendly lady on the phone. I probably should have followed up, but figured that I would just get a "pending" or "approved" as the only answer.

I do wonder though if it is hung up waiting for the prints to get back, or just "in the pile". I'll probably give it a while before trying for more info. It has only been 3 months since pending, but seeing other dates makes me antsy.

Has anyone else had luck getting more info? Do the call takers have any more info, such as print card status?

When he asks if you have another one to check, simply ask him who your examiner is and request to speak to them. Don't bother your dealer, unless they've called and checked, they don't know anymore than you do. Hope things speed up for you.

Good call. Hopefully someone will read that and make a mental note of it. The application is being done in my trust now so the fingerprint cards have become a non-issue. Regardless, thanks for the advice.

I called today and the receptionist said it was pending as of 9 Aug. Asked who the examiner was and she told me Nancy Flanagan. Any good/bad about her and would it help to talk to her to see what is going on? It's a Form 4 for a .22 suppressor. Thanks.

Called today and I'm still pending, ask who the examiner is and the lady told me Sandra Snook. I didn't get to talk to her though cause the little one was fussing.
