No it's not illegal. However you still have to follow the same rules for interstate travel and such.

Default Re: SBR'd AR15 - a brief guide and my experience

I had a couple of questions.
I currently live in monroe county and am trying to make a SBR.
I have filled out all of he paperwork, which I downloaded from title2.com, however when I went to the sheriff to get my prints taken, he told me he did not have the fingerprint cards and that I had to get them from the atf. I had ordered all the forms including the fingerprint cards about a month agoand they still have not come.

I found this file on the internet, which appears to be the approriate fingerprinting card
http://www.fbi.gov/hq/cjisd/pdf/fpcardb.pdf
And I was wondering if I print this out on both sides if it would be useable for my paperwork?

If this is not useable could anyone tell me where I could get the appropriate fingerprinting cards?

I was also wondering who do you make out the $200 dollar check to, is it the department of the treasury?

Thanks!

Give it time young jedi and your packet will show up from the BAFTE. If you ordered it a month ago then there have been 2 major holidays to contest with the monkeys filling your packet and mailing it.

As for the printing your own cards I don't believe that is acceptable unless you somehow can print them on the right cardstock w/ the correct color.

Check to the dept of treasury.

If in a rush. Try doing a search for a class 3 dealer in your area. If there is a dealer you have delt with he/she might just fork over 2 cards.

Snert..

I dropped a couple Form 1's, Compliance papers, and Trust doc in the mail with a check tonight. Hoping to SBS my SAIGA-12 down to a 12.5".

I've spoken to OrionArms to get a quote so I'll start stripping her down for a trip to the engraver.

They should be there, they show up for me and I have not removed them or changed them. Anyone else having this problem?

Very helpful, I just got singed off by my CLEO, one Q, on the fingerprint card, what do I put for reason, or leave it blank? The left side of the card under employer and address.

Thanks
