Default Convince me to buy an M11/9 with my tax return...

...yeahhhhhh

I've been wanting a FA since pretty much forever. But 3-4k will be a big hit to my budget. The only way it's really gonna happen is if I win the lottery or use my tax return money. Yay or nay?

I would say go for it, if you have the cash. The only caveat is, do you have the cash to continue to feed it every time you take it out. With out sufficient ammo it too becomes a VERY expensive paper weight.

Well the nice thing is it's 9mm, which is relatively cheap, and I already have some stockpiled. Also you can get a 22 conversion kit for it, which would go perfectly with my .22 can and make for some great backyard blasting.

Go for it, you only go around this crazy wheel once! They are fun to shoot in F/A however bump firing a Semi is easy and fun too.

It's a 9mm MP, a 9MM SMG, a 9MM FA carbine running 71-round drums, a .22, a 7.62x25 mm SMG, and very soon a 12 gauge drum-fed full auto. Then all of the rest of the handgun rounds will start such as .45, etc. etc.

I'm not kidding. This is without a doubt the best value in transferrable FA and the future is even brighter.

And that picture you showed is the plain old MAX-11 upper. Have you ever fired one? Wait, scratch that... Have you ever fired one with the 750 rpm bolt? It's only $20 more, and not even remotely the same as the basic gun. I'm not even sure why he still sells the 600 rpm bolt as standard.

Throw a can on it and load the mag with some 158 grain rounds and you have full-auto silent death that will actually frighten you.

Do you have a family to support and if so would the money be put toward something they need or will better their lives? If the answer is yes then I would hold off on buying it. On the other hand if you will have the extra money then do what I did and "invest"....

It's not a M11/9 but close. SWD M10/9 with an Uzi grip conversion, SCA side cocking upper and Uzi side folder quieted down with a SWR Trident 9 that I already had attached via a 3 lug.

Then you'll need magazines....

and then you'll need MORE ammo!

Keep it down, if too many people see this post it might drive the price up!

I've only shot a FA once...and it was an M16 with a 22 conversion kit that kept jamming. Other than that I have absolutely no experience with MG's. I've been eyeing them for years but too many other things have taken priority. I think I might go for this, depending on how much I get back. I think I'm gonna start by just getting a basic one without the Lage upper or anything, and build it up down the road when I can free up some more money. I just feel like prices are going to get even higher on MG's and I might not ever be able to get one if I don't do it now.

Thumbs up Re: Convince me to buy an M11/9 with my tax return...

i like mine, it has not been modified. fun to shoot, relatively accurate in s/a considering crappy sights. a must have is a quality can just remember to wear safety glasses when using it. skip the poly mags they are junk. original metal mags are hard to find and when you do they are not cheap. got some metal converted mags from recon ordnance i believe, they work well. you have to have the stock extended to use them. once you are used to the gun you have no problem doing doubles and triples using trigger control. fun gun, not particularly useful but hey we all need something for fun imo. go for it, it may be your last chance.

I do have a family to support, but I can have fun too, can't I? The past year I've spent just about every penny I've earned on making their lives easier, now it's time for me! lol!

That's what I'm worried about. I don't want to be kicking myself in 10 years for passing up this opportunity.
