Default CLEO sign off in Lehigh County?

So looking to test the waters for NFA CLEO sign off before I start jumping through the other hurdles. Bethlehem PD? Lehigh County Sheriff? PSP? Figured someone in my area has already tried and can give me my odds of success.

Thanks,

Rob

Yes Lehigh County as of right now signs off on ATF Form 4's. Mr. Rossi has signed off for me 3 times in the past year and didn't know me from Adam. I dealt with Chief Weber Camp and he walked into Rossi's office for the ink mark. He did this after an impromptu interview in his back office, from then on he just dealt with me through the glass window after showing my face so much. As a manor of professionalism I always dress in a suit and tie or at least a tie during summer. He did always ask if I was a CHL holder which I am and he kindly took it with my DL and gave it back. I'd say all the times I went it was the most easy thing I have done through the gov't. I wish the rest would work that well oiled.

What questions did they ask you? I'm thinking of getting a suppressor sometime and am wondering. And if they ask you wat it's for what is a good answer? Just to have fun with?

The main reason for a silencer? Tell them the truth...because you want to shoot your gun without permanent hearing damage. Not to shoot people without anyone knowing or to poach wild game at night on state game lands lol. Keep it simple!

Btw, you will not want to shoot anything that isnt suppressed once you fire something that is! You will find yourself trying to find threaded barrels for your pistols and a good machine shop to thread rifle barrels lol.

I told Chief Weber Camp the real reason. I have always wanted one. Lehigh County is a very understanding county and they didn't interrogate at all. It was just a friendly conversation. Mr. Camp tried recruiting me for APD until I told him I'm a disabled veteran. It was a very pleasant time dealing with them both. I voted for Mr. Rossi last November because of his stance on this subject. Wish you all luck. You should not have a problem.
