Well I went in today and was told for the time being it will be business as usual for now, meaning the new Sheriff will sign off, but it might change in the future? I didn't have my pictures for my paperwork yet and was told by the gentleman that handles CCW permits that he definitely wants the pictures before he will sign off. So for now I'd say your good. I'm going to get my photo's this weekend and will drop off my paperwork next week, they will also do your finger prints for your paperwork for $15.00. I hope He remains NFA friendly.

I guess my biggest complaint about LEO signoff in York is that their hours suck and being that you have to go in once for prints and then go back in a week to pickup it's a real inconvience. I had to leave work early 2 days to run in there. It's always fun to try to think of a way around telling your boss that you have leave early to go pickup paperwork for a suppressor
My next one will be on a trust without a doubt. I picked up a copy of Will Maker and walks you right through the trust process. From all that I have heard the ATF accepts them without issue. Just an idea in the event that the new CLEO decides to change his mind

The ATF is taking a close look into the trust thing. I would not recomend a trust thru will maker. There are legal resposibility that goes along with the trust. If you fill in a form 4 incorrectly and dont submit ALL trust paperwork they will kick it back too your dealer...
talk to a good lawyer and do it right... |
