the SS190 AP ammo, SS191 Subsonic AP, and SS193 AP tracer ammo the P90 and companion Pistol, the 5.7, was designed around is sold by FN to military and LEO agencies only, and drop shipped directly to thier agency locations.

this ammo is not illegal to own, however, it is NOT sold to the public by FN.

the various SS192 hollow Point, the SS195 Lea Free Hollow point, and the SS196 and 197 Hornady ballistic tip IS available, and ok to buy, as its been shown to NOT penetrate modern ballistic armor.

Chances are, he was using standard SS192, 195,6,7 commercial loads.

Might have been hand loading lighter 5.56mm FMJs to achieve better armour penetration in lieu of the factory LEO-restricted ammo...

The female police officer who stopped the bastard was in fact not killed. Furthermore, I have yet to read anything to indicate that any of the victims were even wearing body armor, so I don't understand how the possibility of armor defeating ammo is relevant to anything.

5.56 FMJs are heavier, not lighter than 5.7 loads.

std ss190, ss193 is 30gr projectile
SS195 is a 28gr projectile

the heavy SS191 is a 60gr projectile

SS196 is 40gr Ballistic tip, SS197 is 30gr Ballstic tip.

is pretty unlikely the dude was using heavier, and slower handloads.

Why is it relevant that he purchased the gun legally unless your going to push baning guns. As for the Ammo he was in the MIL had military ID so he could have purchased the ammo legally as well.

This is sensation news reporting belongs in the checkout rags. Oops their all check out line rags. I'm surprised that one hasn't come out with the headline.

Another person trained and qualified goes on a killing spree. Those magical powers must have worn off somehow.

BTW aren't these the people that will still have guns if they take them from the rest of us?

So a 100% flaming retard goes on a Private Pyle spree because he doesn't wanna go play in The Sandbox, and it's FNH's fault?

Excuse me, but the dick was a military head shrinker, ffs. He wasn't crazy, he wasn't depressed, he wasn't suffering from "pre-deployment stress disorder" ..aka yellow.

He was an asshole, he threw a tantrum of epic proportions. What's more, this is, I believe, the FIRST time a 5.7 has been used in a crime. If he'd been using a Wilson Combat .45 with laser grips and 8 round mags, the fags (per South Park, the term no longer infers homosexuality; it now defines a person as "excessively annoying, excelling at doing nothing more than being irritating") at the Brady Center would be screaming that 8 rounds is CLEARLY too much for anyone to carry and all lasers should be banned.
