Default Another shooting spree. Downtown Orlando high-rise

What the hell is wrong with these people, why can't they just put the gun in their mouth and pull the trigger?

Reports: 2 Dead, 6 Injured In Orlando Shooting
Orlando Office Building On Lockdown As Police Seek Gunman; 8 Reported Injured
ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS) ―

Jason Rodriguez, seen in this photo released by the Orlando Police Department, was being sought in connection with deadly shootings at an office building in downtown Orlando.

The Gateway Center in Orlando, Fla., was the scene of multiple shootings Friday.

Police surrounded a downtown Orlando high-rise after gun shots were fired by a shooter who is still at large. CBS affiliate WKMG-TV reports 2 deaths have been confirmed, and public safety officials say a total of 8 people were shot at the high-rise office building in the Gateway Center near Orlando's Lake Inavhoe, a considerable distance from the Disney World area.

Sgt. Barbara Jones of the Orlando Police identified the suspect as 40-year-old Jason Rodriguez. He is believed to be the only shooter. Orlando Police said Rodriguez may be in a silver 2002 Nissan SUV with a license tag of D11-9UX. Sgt. Jones identified the business where the shooting took place as Smith & Reynolds.

The building, called Legions Place, is being evacuated and Interstate 4 closed to traffic while rescue efforts are underway. The Orlando Sentinel reported bodies were found on the 12th and 8th floor of Legions Place, a 16-floor building north of Colonial Drive and only the 12th floor has been cleared.

A reporter for WKMG TV said there is heavy police activity at the scene, and says it has confirmed 2 people are dead. Five people have been transferred to Orlando Regional Medical Center. WESH reports that firefighters confirmed multiple victims on the building's 4th floor. A witness told WFTV that a man who previously worked in the building walked inside and opened fire.

Some rescue efforts were delayed because police did not know the location of the gunman, and were working to secure the building.

The Associated Press reports the building is on lockdown. The I-4 shutdown is north of the east-west expressway and covers both northbound and southbound traffic.

Gateway Center is a 16-story office building that was constructed 10 years ago

What is it in their heads that suddenly goes sproing! and they think taking a bunch of innocent people with them would make it all better?

We need anti-nutjob legislation!

(It would be as effective as anti-gun legislation.)

No, she will admit his guilt, but say it's societies fault.

How do we know these incidents aren't false flags to get the public to cry for more gun bans and tighter gun control?

H1N1 isn't doing the horrifying job they thought it would yet, and people are buying guns and ammo like there's no tomorrow (gotta love that expression, LOL).

Nothing like a few shooting sprees to get the public all riled up.

I'd say they're getting riled up, but not the way the gov't. wants. Elections in VA and NJ, anyone? It's a start.
