Default Hollow points not needed for home protection

Saw this on nbc nightly news last night.

Former ATF agent Joe Vince had this to say

"Its not something that you would need for home protection because what you are trying to do is eliminate an immediate threat. The idea of killing is what this ammunition portrays to me."

I didn't know there was a difference

Someone should tell all LEO's that they don't need hollow points because they're just trying to eliminate an immediate threat not kill !

fast forward to 1:15

Thanks for posting this, they've been repeating this on MSNBC all day.

I guess that means the police are hunting people? lol

I have heard more stupid remarks coming from LEOS or former LEOS during the news coverage of this incident.
I guess that explains the stupid ND at the White House the other day.

Easy, I'm not railing all LEOS, I just wish the networks would get someone who knows what they are talking about. More damage is done by misinformation that the sheeple take hook, line and sinker than any truth.

You guys know the news. They only print or put on the air someone that says what they want him to say. You can always find some one that can say what you want to hear. Espcially if you prod them a bit first.

Notice that NBC has not said anything about the Bill that was voted down that would have given people the right to carry on school campuses

I agree. I’m not the least surprised, but it pisses me off. They're masters at picking catch phrases. Most people, especially anti's, don't know squat about firearms. Give them a catch phrase like assault weapon, high capacity, cop killer bullets, and the like, and their off and running.

I guarantee that most people supported the Clinton weapons ban because of crap like that. They don't know what an auto or semi auto is. The here automatic and it's immediately a "machine gun."

I'm done ranting now.

After hearing that I think I'll buy some rubber bullets. I mean, there's no immediate threat, so why kill them........

Nope, 100% legal and encouraged.

I ripped that clip and threw it on my IPod. Have to go to the toy store tomorrow, and figured I'd show the owner in case he didn't see it. Pathetic of them to say it, but then again MSNBC I think has Helmeke as a paid consultant as he's always on there.

I bet that ATF official is from NJ.

I know you can get anyone that will say what you want them to say, but this guy was an ATF Agent. He isn't simply a paid consultant, he used to be in a position of authority as an LEO. That is what is most shocking.
