I think the two concealed pistols would be the first law he broke if he did not have a LtCF. That is assuming the pistols were on his person and not in seperate cases. Asking an intended use is not illegal. He would not have to answer them, but they are not illegal to ask. If I am stopped in the area around my work (Kensington) for a traffic violation it is not illegal for a LEO to ask what are you doing around here since my license is in DelCo and I clearly am not a member of this community. I have the option to answer or not, but it is not illegal for the LEO to ask.

Some interesting commentary on another forum that I stumbled upon when trying to find Colorado laws:

Here is another question, you are away from home checking into a room for the night stay, do you take a chance of someone stealing your firearms in the vechile or take them in the room with you?

the rules absolutely must not change just because some political big wig is staying in the hotel. that is the foundation of rule of law...the same laws apply in the same way to everyone.

we can't protect america by flushing everything it stands for down the toilet
nice point LRT.

I take them with me. The reason is two-fold...

For one thing, cars are often broken into at hotels. People leave all kinds of valuables in their cars when traveling.

For another, hotel rooms, and especially motel rooms, are not immune to invasion and robbery.

That is why many hotels allow you to check your valuables into a hotel safe.

I don't know there policy on guns but if the "victim" would have done that, if he even had a chance/time to, would everything been kosher?
