Default Firearms in National Parks?

Courtesy of CNN...

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/...onal.parks.cnn

Not a bad news clip...but I can't seem to understand the two reasons mentioned for opposition?

1) The world is dangerous enough, why introduce guns to an area where it is prohibited?

Answer... If guns are prohibited, only criminals will carry them.

2) National Parks are safe. Out of the 200+ millions of people per year that visit them, the numbers of violent crimes range in the hundreds.

Okay...thats great if you aren't one of those hundreds. How many of those could have been avoided?

Default Re: Firearms in National Parks?

its definitely taking CNN's usual stance of "guns are bad". Quite clear by the amount of time spent with the two people that are against guns compared to the "pro gun" people.

I especially like the numbers... well thats great if the violent crime rate is under 200 / year... unless you are in that 200 / year... then the number is 200 higher then we want.
