What!?!?!? You can get an 01 FFL without having mind reading capabilities? Thats why I never applied

We better stop selling cars to 18 year olds, since we know they will speed.

Simple answer is YES. We catch alot of potential straw purchasers that will come in and look at a gun, ask the brand and cal. and then within 5 minutes someone else will either come in the store or show up at the tables and point at the same gun and say I'll take THAT ONE!! All the while they have a cell phone attached to thier ear.

We have found that if you take a minute and look around, you can usually find the other party within eyesite on the phone giving directions to the buyer.

My favorite to pull on them is when the first person locks in on say a used Taurus PT111 for $200.00 and then walks away. I like to swap it with something on the order of a used high end Kimber for 6 or 700 bucks. Everytime the person attempting the straw purchase will get a confused look on his or her face and usually will look in the drection of the other party as if to say, WHAT ARE YOU NUTS you only gave me $250.00 bucks.

The other major problem with cell phones is the camera. We have caught guys in the shop taking multiple pictures while walking the rack, who knows why?? When we are at gunshows we have caught other dealers who will send someone with a camera phone and they will attempt to take several pictures of one case usually Kimber or Glock. obviously compareing prices and too lazy to walk over themselves.
