Re: States Seek to Pass Bills Cracking Down on Fake Firearms
Back when I was a kid it was normal to go around the street playing cops and robbers while the real thing was happening around the corner. The difference then was the toy guns looked more like toys, at least the ones I had, with flashing lights and stuff. Now days, these airsoft guns look unbelievably real. Once I was at my nephew's looking for one of my game CD's and found an airsoft Taurus 1911. I have to say my heart dropped for a second at first glance as it was under his bed and couldn't see it well. It had are removable clip and slide when back, he also colored the tip black, I had no idea they made em like that. I immediately sat down with him and explained to him how a situation like that can go horribly wrong. He then agreed and I broke the toy and trashed it. My point is that good parenting is essential in a case like this, hell it will solve most of our probs to begin with but for me, my mother would never had let me buy or have anything like that giving the area I lived around. Yeah i know Mr. Obvious. As far as grown men having toy guns brandishing them around like fools, a good shoot in the leg will fix that.
