That's actually usable!

VA is reciprocal with FLA, but as in several cases, it's not clear that VA accepts the non-resident version. In fact, reading the VA-FLA reciprocity, it appears to me VA doesn't.

So this is a real coup of a usably nearby state. Of course, we have to pass through anti-gun hellholes in DC and MD to get there...

This is great, I travel in VA at least 3 times a year on business. And will be very happy if we ever get it with Ohio. It's a pain in the arse driving to Mi. having to stop and unload//lock up then unlock and load when I get to Mi.

Awesome... Something I may actually use for once... I can now add Virginia to possible vacation spots...

I really got to hand it to our AG, he's done a nice job adding states to the reciprocity list...

VA does issue non-res handgun permits, as well as require fingerprinting, and documentation of competence (albeit loose). I would hope that since PA and VA now have full reciprocity, the only other two states (not in common with PA) VA has full reciprocity with (OH, WV) may soon follow. I have been watching some of this stuff closely since I do tons of traveling. This one caught me by surprise. Good find.

I have a virginia application on my desk because OH and WV honor it, unfortunatly WV at least Doesn't accept the non-resident permit, which is one of the reasons why it is sitting on my desk. The other reason is that they still require fingerprinting while some spots in virginia don't require it and the vcdl is fighting to get rid of fingerprinting all together. So I'm waiting.

Get yourself a Utah or Florida permit and you should be good in Ohio. I hit Ohio a few time a year but be warned you can not conceal carry in your auto in Ohio and you have the duty to tell you are carrying upon a stop by LOE. When your in your vehicle it must be worn on you in an easily visible condition for the officer to see.
Out of the vehicle you may conceal carry.
I know it's odd but it's their laws and when your on their turf you have to follow their laws.
