Texas man charged with stomping baby to death waives extradition in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — A Texas man who allegedly confessed to stomping to death his infant son has waived his right to an extradition hearing in Philadelphia.

Galveston Police Sgt. Gary Jones says 21-year-old Travis Mullis should be back in Texas by Tuesday.

Mullis appeared briefly in a Philadelphia courtroom Monday to say he wouldn’t challenge his return.

Mullis has been charged with capital murder in Galveston.

Police say he admitted that he placed 3-month-old Alijah Mullis on the ground and then stomped on his head until he felt the skull collapsing. The baby’s body was found last week on the side of a Texas road near his child safety seat.
Authorities say Mullis stopped in Maryland, where he has family, before driving to Philadelphia and surrendering to police

I would like to think there is a special place in hell for people like this. He better hope for the deathpenalty so he gets his own cell cause the other inmates will not take kindly to a baby killer...
My prayers go out to the family of this baby.

Sad situation, but I have to put a firearms spin on it. The source of Philadelphia's myriad of problems is not guns. People like this are attracted to larger cities to HIDE and blend in with the millions of other people.

I vote that guy goes to the front of the line for the lethal injection. While i'd rather watch him rot in jail, i dont want to risk him leaving in any capacity except the horizontal position...

There is nothing that our legal system can do in its current form to make this guy pay for what he did.

I vote to cover him in honey and lock him in a small cement room with 100 starving rats.

I am all for the death penalty. In fact I am for public exectuion to help deter crime. Put a camera on him and s-l-o-w-l-y drive over HIS head with a truck.

This dude ranks lower than a hired killer in the prison food chain! I bet (and hope) that he'd get fragged in short order!

Instances like this really make me wish that there was a guillotine and bleachers in the middle of every city. Sluggie is right, there is nothing that our government can do to make this scumbag pay for what he did.
