If you were a specific target, then I'd expect the police to be able to find any guns you had on or around the property. As part of disarming an entire city, of course, that wouldn't happen. I think that in practice, were any PA politician unwise enough to order house-to-house total gun confiscation, then he would consider a 90% disarmament rate to be a success. Nobody would concentrate 50% of the total available jackbooted thug resources to get that last 10%, so any method of hiding the guns would probably work, from sticking them in the basement to hiding them in the dog's kibble.

Of course, any PA politician who did so would shortly thereafter cease to be a PA politician, either because he'd be mired in lawsuits, shunned by every political organization except ACORN and NAMBLA, or ducking the demonstrative incoming "messages" of his constituents.

Remember, if you directly stand up to bullies in uniform, then they will volunteer to make an example of you, for refusing to respect their au-thor-it-tay. If you make them go away at gunpoint, they will come back with all their other friends in uniform, and your bullet-riddled home will burn. They have enough people and guns to overwhelm any individual citizen (but not all of them, as has been proven periodically since 1776).

But if you bend like the willow, play stupid, deny owning any guns, and you're not leaning on an empty rifle rack while wearing an NRA hat as you talk to them, then I'd expect them to move on to oppress the next taxpayer. Turn over that old H&R top break, along with a 50-round box holding 44 cartridges and a holster and a cleaning kit. Then, after the emergency is over, you can join the class action suit, and maybe help elect a different sort of politician.

1. That they won't look for any firearms in your house that have been recorded on bills of sale or any other database that "doesn't exist" for that usage.
2. That the courts will exist after this is over.
3. That the courts will uphold the law.

There is always a time in every nation when the expected protections fail for the last time.

1) It's called a REGISTRY, and Pennsylvania HAS ONE (contrary to the assertions of some here), and uses it as such on a regular basis.
2) It doesn't matter whether the courts exist because

The USA gets bogged down in some places because, by & large, we are constrained by an unwillingness to act like monsters. The nation that mopped up Tienanmen Square by running tanks over unarmed students would have no compunctions about holding cities hostage, telling Americans "turn in your gun-toting neighbors or we nuke Scranton". There's precedent for that in the 1940's, and it worked pretty well on the sheep. So turning in a few rabble-rousers to save their own asses is a no-brainer. It is a definite possibility. But if thousands of Chinese start showing up with guns, it is hunting season as far as I am concerned. Insurgents fighting for their homes and families are always way more motivated that foreigners in a faraway place. And if a few cities get nuked in the process, what is the down side?

These people are opportunists. They are waiting patiently taking advantage of every opportunity. They are working now, IMO, to decrease the total amount of gun owners overall by making it harder to buy and sell firearms as well as making guns unpopular to the masses through the media. When we reach a point where they think there aren't enough of us to put up a fight and they have the power to do so then they will come knocking.

1) How are you going to know why LEO are there? even in a katrina, dirty nuke, or similar situation, you dont know maybe they're checking for survivors.
2) Once you open door, your pretty much done!
3) If you start a shoot out, the media is only going to here that, not that you were defending your rights.
If you dont have live feed to the internet, recording every action- WORD, BY ALL parties. Chances are your done. At least alive and using the courts has an option, as I've yet to hear of a ghost winning a court ruling!
