Ironic, since many of those "redneck values" included cheering for Bush for the constitutional-raping Patriot Act.

Brace yourselves everyone, because I'm going to reference to Jon Stewart and link you to DailyKos at the same time.
Jon Stewart Calls Out Fox News It's pretty straight forward, assuming you actually listen to what is being said and don't just watch the video turning red in the face looking for a reason to scream at your computer screen. The Obama Administration isn't doing anything different than the Bush Administration did, calling out MSNBC for what they saw as unfair reporting. The Daily Show showed some clips of a Fox News commentator raving about the situation, and then flashed back to a clip of the same individual praising the Bush Administration for essentially the same thing. Stewart also gave a nice run down of what many of us have been saying: That Fox News is one political commentary show after another, with very little actual news. It also showed some pretty damning video clips of another point that I've been making, that even the supposed "news shows" on Fox News involve a whole lot of biased commentary. Then of course there's the Fox News circle-jerk-of-outrage where a Fox News commentator will stir up controversy over some false issue and then the "news programs" will report on the claims alledged by their own commentators.

Face 1: "It's about time Bush took on the media." Face 2: "Obama is doing the same thing nazi germany did by jamming the airwaves". Classic....nice find.

Fox is biased to the right, no doubt about that. Most of the other media is biased to the left, no doubt about that either. But right now, Fox seems to be the only major media network that is openly critical of the current administration. You want to hear what Obama is doing right, listen to MSNBC and the others. You want to hear what Obama is doing wrong, listen to Fox. Better yet, listen to both and get the whole picture.
If Fox goes away, no one will report when the administration passes gun control legislation or when they try to take your rights away. When Bush tried to take your rights away (i.e. Patriot Act), the MSM reported on that. Now, we need Fox to report if the Obama administration tries to do the same.

You're not going to get a balanced world view by sitting between Glenn Beck and Keith Olbermann, you're just going to get a migraine. Television simply isn't the medium for this kind of thing, aside perhaps from the occasional documentary. You can be more informed by reading 20 minutes a day than by watching cable news for several hours each evening.

My definition of redneck includes, but not limited to: 1.People who didn't go to Harvard University or some other higher instition that is a hotbed of radicals. 2.People who live and work outside the "Beltway". 3.People who earn their living by working. and don't depend on government handouts. 4.People who think the Constitution and Bill of Rights aren't a "living document" , subject to change as needed by the governing "elites". 5.People who pay their taxes or suffer the consequence, unlike several of Obama's appointees and some Senators and Congresspeople. No,I didn't approve of the Patriot Act and a lot of other crap that Bush approved. However,if he had attempted some of what is part of the current regime's agenda, the Liberal media would have frothed at the mouth. Wait until the National Institutes of Health (NIH) study results in data that says having a gun in your home is a hazard to your health and the admistration decides that too much money is being spent on firearms related healthcare. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/...rearms//print/ http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...v005p00284.pdf http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Read.aspx?ID=5186 Screw George Soros and his bunch of liberal radicals!! He made a lot of money trading currencies and I'll bet he is shorting the US dollar and waiting to collect! Have fun!!
