There is alot you can say about that guy, good and bad.
I like his tent city prisons. It IS cheaper. And when they bitch about the 110 degree heat he tells them there are soldeirs in Iraq fighting in way hotter weather in full gear so STFU! They arent mistreated anyway with water and fans available.

Isn't this the philosophy that went into Eastern State Pen? And it was used as the basis of our entire prison system and it sucks hard.
They have beginning to end is just sitting in a cell, my idea is to only have the first portion of the sentence be straight up "here's your walls, stare at them." Three part sentence, each part becoming progressively "easier" for those that have graduated to them. Each step comes with more available priveliges that can be earned.

Start with straight punishment with no privs, then to a traditional cellblock with available privs and required work, then to dormitory style housing with more privs and the opportunity to learn a skill to get a job after being released.

Hard right, straight punishment didnt work. Hard left, straight "rehabilitation" didn't work. Come to the middle and combine the two.

Yeah..and you're citing wikipedia?

The same people who are creating the criticism and controversy need this type of hype to keep their pockets lined (Sharpton and his fellow liberals).

To me..the man is doing his job and Arizona folks seem to love him (I've got a lot of family there and they don't have 1 bad thing to say about him) while Sharpton and his sheeple think it's OK for ILLEGALS to ILLEGALLY come into America when they law says it's not.

The citizens must not know about his lack of concern for their rights because they have elected him to 4 concecutive 4 year terms.

"Arpaio continues to enjoy the support of Maricopa County voters, who reelected him sheriff by double-digit margins in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008. In 2007 a petition to recall Arpaio from office failed to gain enough voter signatures to get on the ballot. In a survey taken by the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication while the petition was in circulation, nearly three out of four respondents opposed the recall, and 65 percent of the respondents held a positive opinion of Arpaio.[5]"

Pelosi has been elected 11 straight terms.

I agree. My point would be then, there also is not any conviction, that I am aware of, of injustice here.
