Yes the Church of England believes in eternal life. Why is it that people think that Jesus Christ is the only was to salvation? I know there are a few members here who have the same philosophy that no matter what you call God, we accept them. We dont look down on others for what they believe in.
Historical evidence militates against the view that those who formulated the fundamental documents of American government were Christians. To the contrary, not a few who wrote and signed the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the U. S. Constitution were Deists, Theists and Freemasons. Webster's Dictionary defines "theism" and "deism":

Theism - "belief in the existence of a god or gods; specif: belief in the existence of one God viewed as the creative source of man and the world who transcends yet is immanent in the world."

Deism - "a movement or system of thought advocating natural religions based on human reason rather than revelation, emphasizing morality, and in the 18th century denying the interference of the Creator with the laws of the universe."

No, I think Marilyn Manson is terrible. I am, however, a big fan of The Misfits and our flag. Also the U.S. and Independence Day.

All of which you KNOW to be TRUE because you feel His presence, right? That you read all of it in a book before sure doesn't have the slightest thing to do with it.

So because you believe in what has been written in a book that could be nothing but a hoax that people have interpreted
to their viewpoint, we are supposed to use that as our golden rule and savior? Remember there are other religions other than Christianity. Organized religion has been a thorn in mans side from the beginning. The evil that has been done in the name of Christianity is quite overwhelming.
The crusades, the inquisition, How about the way they Spaniards decimated the Incas and the Mayans. Hitler himself was a Christian. So theres some mighty fine company you keep.
