Default Horrible tax increase on those making over

$250,000/year works out to $300 per year per every $10,000 over $250,000.
This according to CBS news last night.
According to my calculator, that is a little over 82 cents per day.

That is surely more evidence of the evil Obama's commie plot.

However will those peopls survive?

And people want to start a revolution? Idiots.
The GOPs have bbbn lying for years, and now have nothing else but lies left.

and, oh yeah, the President was born in Hawaii.

Hi Mark,

Am I to assume that you strongly feel that successful people should pay more taxes because they are successful?
So, many small business owners grossing 270,000 a year would "only" pay 900dollars more a year?

The top 50% of the wage owners already pay over 96% of the taxes.
The top 10% pay over 64% of the taxes.
The top 5% pay over 53% of the taxes.
This all based on 2001 numbers, and they might have changed slightly.

So keep hammering on success? Not me...

Think about it in reverse, please.. 50% of the people pay only 4% of the taxes.
That disturbs me more!!

Gee whiz, I guess only adding taxes to those who make $250k+, many of whom are the folks who own the small businesses and hire others, will really help to grow the economy. That way they have less money to invest into their businesses and hire people. Yeah, that is really a great way to grow the economy.

I would also guess that you don't drive a car or truck, don't use oil or gas to heat your home or anything like that. Perhaps you are unaware of the additonal $.10 per gallon tax that has been proposed on those items though. That wouldn't affect anyone but the rich though, right?

And that lower 50% consumes how much of government programs funded by tax dollars?

"We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle" -- Winston Churchill
Quote:
In the name of the best within you, do not sacrifice this world to those who are its worst. In the name of the values that keep you alive, do not let your vision of man be distorted by the ugly, the cowardly, the mindless in those who have never achieved his title.

Do not lose your knowledge that man's proper estate is an upright posture, an intransigent mind and a step that travels unlimited roads. Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark, in the hopeless swamps of the approximate, the not-quite, the not-yet, the not-at-all.

Do not let the hero in your soul perish, in lonely frustration for the life you deserved, but have never been able to reach. Check your road and the nature of your battle. The world you desired can be won, it exists, it is real, it is possible, it's yours.

But to win it requires your total dedication and a total break with the world of your past, with the doctrine that man is a sacrificial animal who exists for the pleasure of others. Fight for the value of your person. Fight for the virtue of your pride. Fight for the essence of that which is man: for his sovereign rational mind. Fight with the radiant certainty and the absolute rectitude of knowing that yours is the Morality of Life and that yours is the battle for any achievement, any value, any grandeur, any goodness, any joy that has ever existed on this earth.

You will win when you are ready to pronounce the oath I have taken at the start of my battle -- and for those who wish to know the day of my return, I shall now repeat it to the hearing of the world:

"I swear -- by my life and my love of it -- that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." -- John Galt

Its idiotic class envy attitudes like this that during my darker days, like today, I really hope people like you get the economy you deserve. And since I see you are 61 I specially wish it so. You have been saving, right? Did I mention that today was one of my darker days?

If that wasn't so sad it would be hilarious.

Default Re: Horrible tax increase on those making over

it's not just going to be people making over $250,000. it's going to be people who make far less but also have to include their business' income with their personal income.

from Boortz:

...the ramifications of Obama's extremely popular tax increases on the evil, disgusting rich. Sixty-four percent of the businesses, companies, corporations, partnerships ... call them what you will ... that actually hire people in this country are categorized as small businesses. These are businesses that report their incomes on personal tax returns. Personal returns ... not corporate returns. Are you following the numbers here? Sixty-four percent of job providers are small businesses and they employ well over 70% of all people with jobs. What's more these small businesses are creating 80% of all of our economy's new jobs. Now .. the kicker ... hopefully you already know this. These small business owners are the very targets of Obama's tax increases.

Now I've been a small business owner, and I've represented many more as an attorney. I'm telling you that when these business owners experience a reduction in their income as a result of these tax increases they are going to look for a way to cut their expenses. One of the ways many businesses will cut expenses is to cut jobs. They will fire people.

Who to fire? Longevity counts, so does job performance. You'll want to take this opportunity to send smokers to the unemployment lines ... and you might want to look at employees with tattoos. Lord knows nobody else wants to. But let's say it comes down to tiebreaker time. All elements are equal - but someone has to go. Now is the time to teach your employees that actions have consequences. If one of your employees on the bubble voted for Obama, that should make your decision for you. Tell him or her that they made a choice to vote for someone who made it clear that your taxes were going to go up. You're not going to take the hit. It was their decision, not yours, and they take the hit. Here's a box, put your stuff in it and get out. Maybe you can go get a worthy, honorable poor person to hire you.

Again ... actions have consequences. This isn't a liberal position. It isn't a conservative position. It's reality.
