Default Next Up To The Bail Out Table (hint - not us)

Well like the old saying goes "The hits just keep on playing"

Now commercial property developers are whining to Washington they need a bail out too!

http://www.cnbc.com/id/28346350

Correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't being in business supposed to include risks you have to accept? When did 'not failing' become the mantra for business? When times are good we suck up the profits and party hearty but when times are rough we whine and ask to be bailed out by the government.

You're kidding, right? Those days are long gone. Eventually, they'll come back, but not until We The People get a much-needed rectocraniotomy... assuming the incoming oligarchy doesn't make that impossible.

The question is: Is it too late?

Unfortunately, I think it's become more the mantra of America lately. It probably started around the same time that it was decided that most teachers shouldn't use red ink to mark incorrect answers on students' tests because "it's a mean color". I swear, this country is going to shit, fast, the way everyone is being "protected" from everything isn't helping. Everyoone's protected from getting their feelings hurt, including criminals because they are a "product of their environment" and can't help it.

Sorry about the little rant, but it's very disturbing how our country is (d)evolving recently. America is becoming so pussified, that bad things are bound to start happening here eventually because of it. The "good, hard working, responsible" citizens are becoming few and far between while the "leaching, handout seeking, what about me's" are becoming more and more prevalent...this bailout crap is just another example.

Okay, sorry, I'm done.

Feel free to rant because I couldn't agree more! I've watched it happen for years now, this 'we are all winners' crap, 'there are no losers' here ... well kiss my lily white ass there aren't!

Some people are going to get one HELL of an ugly education in the very near future. All I can say is thank god my family never fell into that load of shit thinking!

I think you need to clarify... small and medium sized businesses are failing hourly, probably by the minute to be exact but its definately there... apparently when you reach a certain level you can't fail though for whatever reason...

no sure what that reason is but apparently you can't. Maybe they shouldn't have agreed to the balloon payment loans?

Don't ever apologize for ranting about a legitimate danger to this country. If you're apologizing (twice in one post, no less!), you're not angry enough. When you're talking about a chronic illness that is about to turn terminal, you don't mince words, you don't step around the truth, and you sure as hell don't call it anything other than what it is. You're right, this country is going to shit, and I'm sick and #*@&@#(#*& tired of it.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: I love my country. I love what we stand for. I hate what we are becoming, and yearn for the days when things were (and hopefully will be!) better. I just wish we'd outgrow this stupidity we're inflicting on ourselves, the promotion of mediocrity, the persecution of excellence, the encouragement of the base and banal, and the destruction of aspiration and ambition. We as a country are worse off when the best and the brightest are hobbled so that the worst and the lowest can feel better about themselves. Since when is mediocrity something to reward, failure something to encourage? When did the wrong path become something to glamorize, the right path something to belittle?

When the bloody hell did we let the inmates run the asylum?

(And that, sir, is the beginning of a rant for which I will not apologize.)

I just bought a 2 million dollar home and realized I cant afford it. I need all of the PAFOA member to donate 20 dollars a month to me. HAHA kidding but seriously who buys things that they know they can't afford? Unless its an AR15 or something because I can see how that person would have no control over there credit card.

Nope...I think it started with the baby boomers. Only punish your child with a time out. Always tell them that they are winners. Just smoke a little weed and all your problems go away.
