Default 50 cal registration

Someone is trying to tell me that there is Federal registration on 50 cals like the Barrett 82a/M107. I say no. Anybody?

NO.

Whenever someone makes such claims, demand they recite chapter and verse. That weeds out 99% of all foolishness right away. If I had a dollar for every falsehood that "someone heard" I'd be a millionaire.

Sounds like something a police officer would say in general. He's thinking M2 and your thinking something more affordable.
