Default Protection Order ..worthless, LTCF...priceless

Evidently not worth the paper it's printed on.
LTCF a better choice??

only thing a Protection order is for is so that if the person comes around again the cops can do something about it when they otherwise can't. Its more of a "arrest this guy if I call you" kind of thing

And when seconds count the police are minutes away.

I know what you are saying Dredly, but unfortunately people rely upon protection orders as though they are some impenitrable shield. The whole domestic violence issue is a nasty one. Police should not just arrest a man because a woman says "he hit/threatened me!" But at the same time they should not require a woman to be hit/threatened before she gets a PO, so that they can do something. I guess just allowing everyone to exercise their 2A rights would go a long way.

Unfortunately that means get out their yellow tape and chalk to officially mark off the site and body, oh! yeah and call the coroner. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone. No offense intended to the LEO's. It's just a fact.
