Due to dropping oil prices the Russian stock market dumped 17% in early trading. The Russians then closed it to keep it from sinking even more.

I wonder how the nut cases in Iran and Columbia are handling this oil price drop?

Good, Putin's theft of Russia's oil businesses is what is giving the Russian gov't the income it needs to flex its' muscle again.

Now if only the U.S. gov't is smart enough to realize that oil is still the juice that runs our economy and we should develop our own resources and at the same time develop new reliable energy sources so that eventually we can do away with oil as a fuel.

Not if the little communist running the House get her way. Pelosi's energy bill looks like it was written by the Saudis. It out laws drilling on over 90 percent of our own coast. Right now it is 80%. Also the little bolshevik wants to deny the states any share of future oil revenues.

One of the Republicans said that the bill would generate more energy if it were set on fire.

Well the Russian stock market dumped another 10% today. And again the Russians closed up shop early.

Maybe we should try the same thing. Just cease trading of a company that is going under. That would be less communist than pumping tax payer money into a private company.
