Default Thousands rally at Ron Paul convention

Oh the thought of how it should be:

"I am not a Democrat, and I am not a Republican, and I say that very proudly today, because I think these to parties are destroying our country," he said.

If there was a TRUE republican running for president this year I would vote for him/her. As it stands now we have an unusual democrat with a hard core for VP and a neocon republican with a pixie as a side note (something about her just rubs me the wrong way). Neither of which will get my vote, I will not choose the lesser of 2 evils, period.

Pixie? So if she looked like a bull dyke we would be okay?

I think Paul and Barr are closer to my beliefs, but my vote will also not be cast in protest. The best way to get the most issues I want pushed is to be hyper critical in local elections and build the path for a return to true conservatism (not to be confused with the media's deffinition which paints conservatives as bible thumping pro-life ideals being shoved down your throat). While I do believe in God and think human life is precious and should be protected (pro-life) and that criminals should be punished based upon the crime they are convicted of, I will not force those views on anyone. I will also allow a state to decide if they support those ideals they should be able to develop legislature to reflect that.

Like I said "something about her just rubs me the wrong way" which is where the pixie comment comes into effect. I don't care if she's a bull dyke, a lipstick lesbian or a porn star. There's just something about her that gets the hair on the back of my neck to stand up. I trust my first impressions of people, it has served me well these last 45 years. Although some have fooled me into thinking that where better people then they really are at first, it has never gone the other way around.

Bob Barr is just as bad as the others running take a look at his past voting records. It looks like now he finally might be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel but he is no better than McCain or Obama.

Bolded because that is important in my eyes. Anyone who has spent ANY time in Washington is going to have to make concessions in order to advance a policy. I don't mind a mixed bag of voting on things as long as they don't cross a line for me. One example would be supporting a weapons ban of any sort. Not putting asunset or oversight into any kind of intelligence bills. That sort of thing.

Sounds like you wont shove them down anyones throat but you want to elect people who will?

Based on my observations that isnt the media definition of conservative, its the actual definition. You state you are pro-life and think it should be protected. Does this mean you want laws outlawing abortion instead of people having the CHOICE?

You really are as much of a douche as I thought. I stated clearly what I thought on the issue. I don't think federal politicians should decide that. If I live in a state that decides to limit abortions that is for my state to decide. The media defines terms incorrectly all the time. You are just as small minded if you can't admit that. I really don't care what you think defines conservatism. The principles of conservatism are simple. Small government, low taxes, free market, capitalism, strong military. Try again. I forgot your an authority on all things. If you observe things it must be. I really don't care what you have observed because when you are spoon fed shit from the Huffington Post and MSM and just swallow you will be led to false conclusions, but you are still eating shit.

I have to disagree with this one. It's not for the government to decide what I do with MY body, it is mine and only my choice to do anything that involves it. Do we allow the government to dictate which male can have ED medication? Do we allow the government to dictate which tumors can be removed from a persons body? Do we allow the government to dictate at what age you can or cannot get pregnant? No to all 3, to some women an unwanted pregnancy is a tumor to be removed, to others a pregnancy at 60 is a welcomed event.

Yes, the ultimate would be for every woman to protect themselves against getting pregnant (cause obviously men don't want to) in the first place, but when you have an agenda of abstinence over prevention then you're gonna have some unwanted results.
