I am now encouraged that when McCain has the opportunity to pick for SCOTUS, that he will pick someone pro 2ndA and principled.

This was my biggest concern with Obama and a democratic congress.

This election is going to be HUGE! I didn't see it coming and I doubt many did either lol. I was expecting Romney or Ridge. I would have like a McCain/Romney ticket. However, after reading many articles on Miss. Palin, I am overly impressed and excited at the same time. McCain playing this right. It's really evened out now. She's not only gorgeous but it looks like she has a lot of enthusiasm and energy and of course heart! Which is what the GOP needs to pull over the independents. Will the Hillary voters switch over? Too soon to say but we'll see how the RNC goes. This is very exciting.

I need to persuade my mom to make the right choice. She thinks very highly of Obama...

The problem with any sterotype is it is usually made out of ignorance (I am not saying this in an insulting way I just mean lack of knowledge).
Truth hurts but the fact is, they are perpetuated and those who simply vote without reason perpetuate it. Remember, it's acceptable in our society to stereotype the majority without consequences. In fact, if you are a liberal, it's rather "trendy."

I recall a group of friends in San Antonio discussing the '96 elections and they were clueless on issues. When asked why they would vote for Clinton, one girls stated, "I don't know... Bob Dole is just old." WTF? Then the other people just started nodding their heads and saying, "yeah, he's old."

Palin is awesome. This is the best news I've heard in months.
